The Victorian School Futsal Championships kicked off on Monday with more than 1,200 players competing in this year's event.
The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre, and the Boroondara Leisure Centre, will host more than 125 teams, both boys and girls, from metropolitan and regional Primary and Secondary schools, who will be showcasing their skills throughout the four day tournament.
The Championships’ returned to Melbourne this year after a successful event last year in Bendigo.
The Victorian School Futsal Championships is Victoria’s largest futsal tournament for schools to participate in indoor 5-a-side football.
Football Federation Victoria (FFV) organises the annual event which promotes and encourages players to participate in this exciting format of football in a round-robin format.

State representative coaches have also been present, forming part of the futsal state team identification process for Football Federation Australia’s National tournaments.
On Monday and Tuesday, Rowville Secondary College claimed both the junior and intermediate boys competitions with St Monica’s College also winning the junior and intermediate girls tournaments.
The competition continued on Wednesday with Alphington Grammar taking out the title in the Boys Primary School component.
The senior boys and girls competitions will kick off and conclude on Thursday.
