What is Goals for Grassroots?
Goals for Grassroots is Hyundai's football support program which is aligned with the respective Australian clubs in the Hyundai A-League. Hyundai will provide a financial donation to a grassroots club on the number of goals scored by the home 'HAL' club in that corresponding match throughout the Hyundai A-League season. Since the beginning of 2007, Hyundai has raised a total of $169,000 through Goals for Grassroots.
How does it work?
One match will be designated as the Goals for Grassroots match in every round throughout the season (total 27 rounds), whereby a grassroots club aligned to an association affiliated to Football Federation Australia will be selected as the recipient of the Hyundai donation based on the number of goals scored by the 'home' club in that match.
How is the donation established?
Hyundai will donate a guaranteed $1000 plus $1000 per goal scored by the home team (to a maximum of four (4) goals = $5000) to a selected Australian grassroots club per round.
